Peru has announced that they are releasing 2017 trekking permits for the Inca Trail December 20, 2016.

Hikers are not allowed on the trail without permits. This is one of the most highly coveted treks in South America and the world, and the permits are sold on a very limited basis in order to preserve the trails, so you can imagine that they will sell out quickly.

  • The sacred trek travels through the beautifully scenic Andes mountains, and passes through several remote ruins finishing at the legendary Machu Picchu.
  • Do the full 4 day trek, camping along the way, or you can skip the camping and do a 1 day trek, which starts about 7 miles outside of Machu Picchu.
  • April, May, and June are the best months to do the hike because this is Peru’s dry season. They are also the quickest to sell out, get yours today!
