" We had a great trip, great advice and it went very smoothly. We loved Peru."

We are back and we had a great time! We were very impressed with the hotels, guides, transfer agents etc. Everything went very smoothly. Thank you for notifying us ahead of time about the Andean Explorer and the strike. We were very disappointed that the train was canceled but very relieved to have Viracocha Travel handle the changes.

Our favorite hotels were the Sol Y Luna and the Inkaterra - although the hotel staff at the Aranwa were the MOST helpful. Our favorite driver was Guillermo and our favorite guide was Holber. Although everyone was great. We had a little trouble understanding our Macchu Picchu guide - I don’t recall his name. We would estimate we captured about 1/3 of what he said - but that was ok - we read up on the site before our visit and before our independent trip to the site. Also the transfer agent who met us at the Macchu Picchu train - Jaqueline, I think, forgot to help us give our luggage to a porter. She left it in a store and delivered it to the hotel for us - which was fine - except our things were not secure for a while - and that was a little stressful. It all turned out ok. I think it would have been fine to let us bring our own things to the hotel and then to the bus.

We loved the train between Ollytaytambo and Macchu Picchu and Macchu Picchu and Poroy.

Those are our thoughts for now! We had a great trip, great advice and it went very smoothly. We loved Peru (and would recommend this trip and Lost World to our friends).

"We appreciate how you and your staff worked with us to pin down all the details to ensure a pleasant and interesting travel experience for our group."

Hi, Andrew. I'd like to thank you personally for working with us to put together the Pace trip to Peru. Everything went very smoothly, echoing Emily's and my experience of two years ago. It was particularly reassuring to see the familiar faces of our guides Alex and Victoria. We even met Alex's son (also named Alex) who is in the family business of tourism - he met us at the airport in Lima after our trip to the Sacred Valley and escorted us to our hotel.

We had a few issues with participants adjusting to high altitude; one student fell ill (unrelated to altitude) and required medical treatment in Cusco. Victoria was especially helpful in securing assistance in this situation. Our colleague Helen, the most senior of our trip participants, required considerable assistance from the drivers and both guides. Everyone was so kind and graciously helped her however possible.

All in all, it was a successful and remarkably uneventful (in a good way!) trip. We appreciate how you and your staff worked with us to pin down all the details to ensure a pleasant and interesting travel experience for our group.

"What a great trip."

What a great trip - I can't top the comments of my "senior" colleagues (chronologically speaking, as I wasequally challenged in every aspect), so I will not try.

We quickly regarded our host Fidel as a friend who has a firm command of history while maintaining adelicate touch that kept all in our party at ease in a unique culture. We've seen many high performers in ourrespective professional endeavors and each of us hold our capable host in high regard.

While every detail of our trip was carefully planned and flawlessly executed, we never felt that we wereparaded through a sheltered experience - this is a tough balance to strike.

My request is that all involved in the planning and execution of our trip will receive this feedback and knowour sincere gratitude.

"The four of us have some great memories that will last us a lifetime."

What a great trip!

The four of us have some great memories that will last us a lifetime. A special thanks to our tour guide, Fidel. His thorough knowledge, infectious spirit and genuine enthusiasm for this unique part of the World really made the trip very special. He could enlighten us on even our most oblique questions and brought the history and culture to life with great descriptions and anecdotes. He deserves special recognition and a "shout out". Please pass on our sincere appreciation to his superiors in Peru. He turned a great trip into a trip of a lifetime! Again thank you Fidel! Well done!

In addition to the super professionalism of Fidel, the entire trip was organized with Swiss-like precision, great accommodations and very competent team members. Hats off to the entire group.

Machu Picchu has long topped my "Bucket List" since being introduced to it in junior high Spanish Class. I even build a model from Plaster-of-Paris and wood. It left an impression. From that time I dreamed that somehow I would stand in the middle of what that model meekly tried to represent.

So for over 50 years my preconception of what it would be like to literally be in the midst of its ruins had grown to an unrealistic expectation that I feared could not be met. But I was wrong.

Climbing up the path from the bus drop off and turning the corner to view that first panorama was breathtakingly inspiring...and it only got better from there.

The setting was awe inspiring with panoramic hikes including the physically challenging Huayna Picchu peak, as well as the Sun Gate and the Inca Bridge. There is nothing like climbing up that last 100 almost vertical feet up the iconic Huayna Peak at over 9,000 feet struggling to catch our breath. And the thought of the steep decent from that peak was even more intimating. But we made it and are grateful that we could share such a unique experience together.

Cusco was also an unexpected surprise. Our timing was perfect coinciding with the Festival of Corpus Christi. What color, pageantry and energy! Such fun. What a great old vibrant historic city! We now will start planning our next "guys trip".

"The trip to Peru was fantastic in every way shape and form."

Morning Andrew....wow, where do I begin!!! The trip to Peru was fantastic in every way shape and form. The accommodations were first class every place we stayed. The guides were excellent and always on time with regard to our travel arrangements.

Because it was our anniversary we received upgrades in rooms at all the hotels which was very special. I told Laurie when we decided to go with Lost World Adventures that she was in for a very special vacation and you did not disappoint. It's all she talks about with friends when asked about our trip to Machu Picchu.

Thanks again for a perfect vacation and the upgrades, which I am sure you arranged with the hotels. It made for an experience we will never forget.
